Who Are We?
We are believers in Jesus Christ across the city of Penticton in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia with a burden to see our city transformed by the power of God through prayer and unity.
We are not another church – we are members of local churches.
The church is God’s answer to the world’s problems. If we are God’s answer, then we are responsible for the spiritual well-being of our city. Jesus commissioned us to go and make disciples.
We are not another organization – we are a project. We fulfill a specific purpose for a timely season.
Our Purpose
We exist to see Penticton transformed into a city filled with the glory of God’s light … by united prayer. We are praying:
- For unity across local churches. Not just annual get-togethers in the park, but sustained, prayerful fellowship all year long.
- For Jesus to be made famous across the city of Penticton and beyond.
- To break old curses and agreements made with local spirits that do not serve Jesus Christ.
- To see the homeless lifted up and cared for and the addicted set free.
We have seen documentaries of other cities being transformed by intercession and unity, and we want and need that for Penticton!
We Believe!
The church is Father’s answer to the world (Eph.3:10-11).
The local church is responsible for the condition of the city (Mat.5:14-16).
We, the local church, are called to be walking as one body (John 17).
Church leaders are best placed to bring about unity and direction.
Intercessors are authorized to tear down false beliefs and vain imaginations that prevent the church from effectively reaching the city’s lost.
United focused prayer on specific goals is far more effective than individual prayers on random topics.
